Finally, in 1938 a children’s zoo was built at the London Zoo for young inquisitive minds.

When you move to London and visit the London Zoo, you will see over 755 different species of animals.

There have been many new attractions opening over the past few years.

The zoo went through a major renovation project to make the animals more comfortable and to improve visitors’ experiences.

If you enjoy monkeys and other primates, there is a “Meet the Monkeys” exhibit and “Gorilla Kingdom.”

You can visit the “African Bird Safari” and see superb starlings, Madagascar teals, blue-bellied rollers and many more unique species.

If you want to learn more about Africa, you can visit the “Into Africa” exhibit to learn about the different animals from that part of the world.

Although the Children’s Zoo closed, it was replaced with a more exciting “Animal Adventure” exhibit.

There are meerkats, prairie dogs, aardvarks and many more unique animals. 

The Aquarium is amazing for all underwater enthusiasts.

There are three halls you can visit, which each have different marine life on display.

When you are visiting the first hall, you can see European eels, seahorses, spiny starfish and other interesting creatures.

The second hall is home to fish and other tropical species that are found in coral reefs around the globe.

This is where your kids can see clownfish, which were made popular by the Disney Movie, Nemo.

There are also a wide variety of tropical fish that are brightly colored and very unique.

The third hall contains Amazon fish such as electric eels, stingrays and other exotic sea life.

The London Zoo prides itself on its Big Fish Tank, which cares for fish rescued from private homes that could not take care of the fish. 

The Blackburn Pavilion is also an interesting exhibit to visit.

This particular exhibit opened in March 2008 and was built where the former Bird House once stood.

The environments of the rainforest and cloud forest were recreated to house a number of different animals.

There are lovebirds, hummingbirds, kookaburras and a wide variety of other beautiful birds. 

In addition to all the interesting exhibits you can visit, there are a number of animals you will want to see that are not part of the specific exhibits.

The lions, vultures, tigers and many more favorite animals are housed throughout the London Zoo.
